Configure Outlook Express 5.0

1. Start Outlook Express 5.0

2. Click on the Tools menu and choose Accounts
Click on the Mail tab

3. Open the Edit Account window

· To edit an existing account, select it and click the Edit button

· To create a new account, click the New button

If you choose to create a new account, this window will appear.

Set Account Type to POP and click OK

· Fill in the correct values for your account

Account name: A label for this account, usually your e-mail address

Name: You name as you would like it to appear on messages you send

E-mail address: Your e-mail address

Account ID: Enter your username (example: username@wadsnet.com)

POP server: Type in "mail.wadsnet.com" as your incoming e-mail server

Save password: Check this box and type in your password if you would like Outlook Express to remember it for you. Otherwise it will prompt you every time you check your mail

SMTP server: Type in "smtp.wadsnet.com" as your outgoing e-mail server, then click on advanced options and check the SMTP authentication option.

· Click OK to close the Edit Account window

· Close the Accounts window to return to Outlook Express
