Configure Outlook Express 4.0

NOTE: OE 4 can't do SMTP Authentication, so you won't be able to send email using Wadsnet.com's email servers. We Recomend switching to Mozilla Thunderbird, a free email program, found here--->Click Here

Step 1. Open Outlook Express
Step 2. Choose Accounts



Step 3. Select the Mail tab in the Internet Accounts dialogue box



Step 4. Click Add, Mail to create a new account



Step 5. Type your name as you want it to appear in your message's From: field



Step 6. Type your WADSNET email address (e.g. username@wadsnet.com)



Step 7. Set your incoming mail server type to POP3

Step 8.

  • Type in "mail.wadsnet.com" as the Incoming mail server address box
  • Type in "smtp.wadsnet.com" as the Outgoing mail server address box
  • Click Next




Step 9. Type your email account name and password



Step 10. Under Connection Type, select LAN



Step 11. Click Finish



The Congratulations dialogue box confirms that you're done



  • Your new email account appears in the Internet Accounts dialogue box


Step 12. Click Close to exit
